15 Mar Seeing Stars – Design Awards at 6th Country Music Channel Awards
Last week was the 6th annual Country Music Channel Awards. This year the event night was held at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre (QPAC) in sunny Brisbane as part of CMC Rocks QLD. Some of Australia’s biggest acts were there to enjoy country music’s night of nights, with the likes of Lee Kernaghan, Amber Lawrence, Bindi Irwin and Morgan Evans gracing the red carpet. And we, of course, are proud to say Design Awards were right at the centre of it for the sixth year in a row, once again making the coveted custom 2.9 kilogram statuette for the winners to take home.
The Country Music Channel trophy is a custom aluminium cut anodised guitar with a solid aluminium base. The team at CMC opted for a high gloss aluminium finish for the guitar with a silky finish for the base. The silky finish has quite a textural feel to it which means the award is a delight to hold and fingerprints and marks do not show up so easily, while the high gloss provides an elegant sheen to the trophy. Winner’s names are applied on the side of the aluminium base with the name of the award itself applied to the top.
We are exceptionally proud to say we have been working with the team at Country Music Channel since the CMC Awards inception in order to recognise winners with trophies of the highest quality, designed and made right here in our Sydney workshop.
