Did you know the spin off of Australia’s Funniest Home Video Show, seductively named AustraIia’s Naughtiest Home Video Show, was the only TV show in Australian history to be taken off air mid-screening? Saucy.

While we weren’t lucky enough to make the awards for that special one-off, we did make the awards for its original counterpart, making “The Jimmy” for most of the show’s history. Australia’s Funniest Home Video Show had an impressive 24 year streak, starting in 1990 with Graham Kennedy and Shelley Craft closing off its final season just two years ago in 2014. That is a whole lot of talking dogs, sad babies and people falling over. And a lot of Jimmies.

The Jimmy was given out to the funniest video of each season, with the prestigious gold Jimmy reserved for the funniest video of all. Any memories flooding back?

We tried to find some footage of the Jimmy in action, and this is the best we could find. We also trawled our archives for some original Jimmies during his glory years, these photos [printed in film ofcourse] were taken in our original Surry Hills store. This #ThrowBackThursday, remember Jimmy.
